A Few Pointless Facts!

Seeing as how I'm going to be spewing my life out on here for the next four and a half years or so, I thought I'd share a few things about me from my fav bands and films to my first celebrity crush! I promise I`ll try not to make it too boring and I`ll put a couple of unusual things in!

Favourite Bands

Let's get the obvious out of the way then move on to more weird stuff!  I have an eclectic taste in music from Enimem to Nick Drake to F.S.O.L to Dumpstaphunk to Megadeath! My favourites though are Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Nina Simone & Red Hot Chili Peppers. How's that for a mix - prog rock, electronic, Jazz & funk rock! My favourite genre is blues, from traditional Delta Blues to dirty grungy blues rock I lurve it all. 🕶

Other Weird Tidbits!

1) One of my favourite films ever is Yellow Submarine (Blue Meanies are so cool and, yeah I know, I'm probably the one person who actually loves that film but it literally cracks me up!! 😂).  I can spew out sooo many quotes from that film - but I'll spare you that trauma!

2) I love football/soccer. I used to be a season ticket holder at Millwall (they were a wonderful friendly bunch when I was there) and I'm very well versed in the offside rule!

3) My heart belongs to art, photography & music but I was an accountant and I really love working with data and numbers - sad but true.

​4) My favourite animals are crocodiles, I love them and think they're beautiful amazing creatures.

5) I'm all tomboy, nothing girly about me at all! I hate shopping, shoes, makeup and I really don't get handbags! If I find a pair of shoes or jeans I like I buy 3 and I'm done for the next couple of years.

6) My first crush was Ralph Macchio (yep sadly I was mad on the Karate Kid!) and my unusual taste hasn't changed much because my crushes now are Robert Carlyle (yep I like Rumplestiltskin!!), Gabriel Byrne, Djimon Hounsou and Clive Owen! All way older than me but they're smart, edgy & it's all in the eyes!!! I don't like pretty men, too much preening and not enough substance!

7) I collect Mr Potato Heads - He's so much fun!

8) I've read Lord Of The Rings more than 10 times .... and counting.

9) I can't drive, never wanted to, never will, BUT I really want to ride a motorbike and dream of getting a Ducati.

10) I'm alergic to cats but I still had two I adored!  They were called Renoir & Rembrandt (I know, I know - deal with it!).

So there you go, now when I ramble on you'll have a better picture of who I am and I'm sure I'll reveal more as we go just to mix it up a bit.
